Backpay For Teachers

Tuesday, November 18, 2008, St. George’s: On 15th October 2008,  the Government of Grenada paid Backpay, due to Teachers, for the period January to December 2007, in the sum of Four Million, Six Hundred and One Thousand, Six Hundred and Eighty Six Dollars and Seventy One Cents (EC$4,601,686.71).

NEW GOVERNOR GENERAL TO BE SWORN IN ON WEDNESDAY

St. George’s. Grenada – November 17, 2008: Grenada will have a new Governor General from Wednesday. He is Mr. Carlyle Glean Sr, a former Education Minister (1990-1995), who retired from active politics in 1995, and University lecturer. He will be sworn in as Grenada’s 5th Governor General since Independence.

UWI DELEGATION VISITS GRENADA

St.George’s, Grenada: – A delegation from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus, headed by its Principal Professor Clement Sankat, will arrive in Grenada on 12th November, 2008, to hold discussions with officials from the Ministry of Agriculture towards ensuring that a healthy agricultural sector becomes a reality.
