Prime Minister visits businesses in the South

ST.GEORGE’S, GRENADA, 2ND JANUARY, 2009:- After spending a quiet holiday with family and friends in his St. Patrick constituency, Prime Minister Hon. Tillman Thomas continued his series of visits, which began on December 23rd, 2008, to government offices, private sector businesses and statutory bodies.
 
 Earlier today, (Friday, Jan 2nd, 2008) the Prime Minister greeted employees and members of the public at the Point Saline International Airport, Ramdhanny’s, the Industrial Development Corporation, Tropical Shipping, Spice Isle Retreaders and Jonas Browne and Hubbards Mt. Hartman Store..
 
 “This is the first time a Prime Minister has visited us,” one member of the police unit at the Point Saline International Airport said after Mr. Thomas brought the officers New Year greetings.
 
 In a brief discussion with one manager during a stop at Hubbards, the Prime Minister spoke of the need for partnership to help deal with the current economic climate.
 
 “It is at these times especially that we need to work closely together to survive and recover from this economic downturn. I look forward to working with the private sector to make this happen,” the Prime Minister said.
 
 The Prime Minister wound up his visits with a brief stop at the Grand Anse Vendors Market just before midday.
