Marisa Mitchell was born in St. Andrews, Grenada on April 1st 1987 at Princess Alice Hospital. At the tender age of five she along with her mother traveled to the United States to pursue greater opportunities. Marisa is a very ambitious young woman who believes that all things are possible with a good upbringing and an abundance of faith.
Marisa is currently a student at Kingsborough Community College where she majors in Psychology and Human Services. Her goal is to one day open centers providing extracurricular activities for adolescents. With this she hopes to make a change in the lives of many young people by keeping them occupied with a hobby, under great leadership and most importantly out of trouble.
Marisa decided to run in this years Miss Grenada/USA Pageant so that she can continue to be an inspiration to the youth and show them that there is no limit to what they can achieve. Being able to represent her nation of birth is an absolute thrill for her, and she says “if there is anyway possible that I can continue to be a positive example for my Sweet Isle of Spice I will be honored to partake.”
With all due respect I present to you our best candidate for this year Miss Grenada/USA Pageant, Marisa Mitchell, and I hope to see you all September 18th, 2010 at Medgar Evers College to support her on this life changing endeavor.
