St. John’s, ANTIGUA – West Indies Cricket Board President, Dave Cameron, is saluting the life and work of  95-year old, Andy Ganteaume, the Caribbean’s oldest test cricketer, who passed away on Wednesday in Trinidad and Tobago. Cameron declares that Ganteaume was a stalwart of the game and “the region should make every effort to recognise the contribution he made to the game of cricket.”

The President noted that “he served the game as a player and an administrator. He played one Test, 50 first class games and went on to serve as West Indies team manager. He also played football and represented a club in Port of Spain. He had a fairly short, but impacting contribution to the sport. May his soul rest in peace.”
