WESTMORLAND STUDENT ADJUDGED FINALIST IN FCCA POSTER COMPETITION

Jesma Noel a student of the Westmorland Secondary School was adjudged a finalist in the Florida- Caribbean Cruise (FCCA) Poster Competition.  The competition which is a prominently featured event on the Associations list of activities is held every year and Grenada has done and continues to do exceedingly well at those competitions. The FCCA continues to play its part in Tourism development and thus gives the young people of the region opportunities to develop an industry that is the fastest growing industry in the world and in which the Caribbean is prominently featured. Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Culture, and the Performing Arts Hon. Dr. Clarice Modeste Curwen, extends congratulations to Ms. Noel on her achievement and wants to encourage more young persons (schools or groups) to part-take in these FCCA events. The Honorable Minister believes that the involvement of young people augurs well for the future of the industry.The winning entries for the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association Foundation Children’s Environment Poster Competition came from Cancun, Mexico in the junior division and Dominica in the senior division.  .
