West Indies Under-15 team makes way into league finals

St. Andrew’s Grenada, May 2, 2008 – The West Indies under-15 team is into the league finals of the Clico International Cricket Championship.

Playing yesterday at Progress Park in Grenada, they defeated Malaysia by eight wickets.

After winning the toss and choosing to bat, Malaysia were dismissed for 160 off 49.5 overs.

Kavern Hodge did the damage for the young Windies taking four for 33.

In reply, Barbadian Kraigg Braithwaite scored 52 while Ramon Senior ended unbeaten on 69, as the west indies cruised to 166 for two in 24.5 overs.

The league final will be a repeat of the knockout clash, as Pakistan duly book their spot when they defeated Bangladesh by six wickets in their semi-final match-up.

Scores: Bangladesh 126 off 47.5 overs; Pakistan 131 for four off 31.4 overs.

That final is set for Sunday in Trinidad..
