West Indies bat first in 500th Test Match; Leon Johnson is 300th Test player

GROS ISLET, St Lucia – West Indies lost the toss and have been put in to bat on the opening day of the second and final Dhaka Bank Test against Bangladesh on Saturday at the Beausejour Cricket Ground.

The match in the 500th in West Indies Test history. Left-handed batsman Leon Johnson made his debut and becomes the West Indies 300th Test player. He was presented with his Test cap by Clive Lloyd, the most successful captain in West Indies history.

West Indies lead the two-match Dhaka Bank Series 1-0 following their victory by 10 wickets in the opening match at Arnos Vale, St Vincent earlier this week.
