Well-known businessman turns 90

St George’s, March 17, 2013 – One of Grenada’s most successful businessmen is celebrating his 90th birthday on Monday, March 18.

Chasley David, proprietor of South Winds Cottages in Grand Anse, was feted at a party at his home Sunday hosted by his four sons, who include former Foreign Minister Peter David, and other family members.

They were joined by scores of friends and other well-wishers including Prime Minister Dr. Keith Mitchell and his mother, Catherine; Tourism Minister Alexandra Otway-Noel; Housing Minister Delma Thomas; and former government ministers Glynis Roberts, now leader of the National United Front; Joseph Gilbert; and Arley Gill.

David, a former student of the Grenada Boys’ Secondary School, worked in the private sector before opening his own businesses that have included insurance and car rental.
