February 04, 2011: Motiv-8 For Change International- a high impact social skill agency based in Toronto and founded and managed by Grenadian-born Neals J. Chitan has recently been granted United Nations Social Skill Vendor’s status.
Over the years, Chitan and Motiv-8 For Change International have developed, designed and copyrighted powerful social skill strategies which have been delivered across Canada, England, Africa, the US and Grenada.
In 2004, after the passage of Hurricane Ivan, the government of Grenada officially requested the assistance of Motiv-8 For Change International in helping its citizens deal with the post traumatic stress caused by the disheartening loss they sustained.
The request was forwarded to United Nations Development Programme and the contract was granted for “Project RISE AGAIN” go into Grenada at the end of November 2004, undertaking 108 social skill sessions across the tri-island nation. Neals Chitan president of Motiv-8 For Change International and the frontline speaker for this project was also appointed by the UNDP to be the Resource Person for the Social Impact Roundtable at the National Conference for the Strategic Rebuilding of Grenada convened in the Trade Centre in Grand Anse December 08-10, 2004.
It is with a sense of accomplishment, dignity and Grenadian pride that Motiv-8 For Change International is now referred to as UN Vendor #170271, which is the key to UN assignments internationally for this social skill agency and consultant.
