The Passing of Rev. Matthew Rae

Rev. Matthew Rae, prominent in the Grenada community of New York for over 60 years, died on Friday after several weeks of hospitalization and resting at his home. He was 89.

The sad news was announced by Anne, one of his nieces.

Rae was born in the Village of Adelphi, St. Andrew, and lived his adult life in NY. For decades, he served as a columnist for several newspapers in Grenada from the defunct Torchlight to the current Grenadian Voice and Grenada Informer.

He founded the Grenada Health Hospital & Educational Association and the Universal Association of Mental Physical Spiritual culture.

He authored the book, “How to cure Terminal Cancer, Tumors, Aids & Social Diseases by Natural Foods, Nutrition, Herbs and Spiritual Forces.”

The final rites for Rev. Matthew Rae will be announced shortly.
