After a sterling performance on Friday February 28th, 2013 at the International Soca Monarch, the universally acknowledged King of Jab, Wilt ‘Tallpree’ Cambridge, is about to embark on another extensive tour.
Tallpree’s performance as a finalist in the Groovy Monarch competition (his 8th overall Finals appearance) is considered by some one of his best, showcasing authentic Grenadian culture and the creativity and energy associated with Carnival celebrations in the Isle of Spice.
It is that same vigor and expression of Grenadian artistic values that fans of Tallpree will be experiencing over the next 4 months or so.
In addition to the live appearances, Tallpree is also busy these days in various studios across the region as he prepares music for the 2014/ 2015 season. Fans of Tallpree are also in for a treat on Carnival Wednesday in Grenada (Wednesday August 6th) with the return of PreeDay, after a one year absence. The show will feature some of the Region’s premier Male and Female soca performers, a tribute to two legendary Caribbean Artistes and a full-length “Tallpree-In-Concert” experience.
