The Political Leader and Members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) take this opportunity to express our profound  condolences to our executive member,  Mr. Vincent Roberts,  on the passing of his son, Khalil Lewis,  on Friday, January 23, 2015.

The party also extends similar sentiments  to Khalil’s mother, Ms. Petipha Lewis- Smith; his adoptive father, Mr. Terrence Smith; his twin brother,  Mr. Kareem Lewis-Smith; as well as other  relatives and friends.

Political Leader,  Sen. V. Nazim Burke, with whom Khalil worked in the Ministry of Trade,  when  he (Sen. Burke) served as Minister in that ministry,  expressed a “profound admiration for the young man” and commended his strength and courage during his long fight with cancer.

“He was loved by all who knew him and worked with him,” Mr. Burke said, noting  especially, his close bond with his co-workers.

“We pray that God will grant his family the strength to overcome this untimely  loss of their loved one. Our thoughts are with them in this moment of grief and sorrow”, the Party leader said.
