St. George’s, April 29, 2011 – Top officials of government and the ruling National Democratic Congress visited St. David Thursday evening to meet with party supporters and others residents, and to witness the election of a new executive for the NDC Constituency Group in the parish.
Prime Minister Tillman Thomas, who is also NDC Leader, led the team that visited St. David and delivered a speech to the gathering. Others were NDC General Secretary and Minister of Tourism, Peter David; and Glen Noel, NDC Chairman and Minister of State for Housing, Lands and Community Development.
St. David is represented in parliament by NDC MP Michael Denis Lett, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.
The newly elected executive to run the affairs of the NDC Constituency Group is headed by trade unionist George Mason as Chairman.
