The National Democratic Congress ̶ New York Chapter wishes to extend warm and fraternal congratulations to the National Democratic Congress Youth Movement (NDCYM) in Grenada, on the occasion of its inaugural National Convention.

We are deeply encouraged by your bold initiative to galvanize the young people of our tri-island state under the banner of the NDCYM to advocate for jobs, social justice and a better quality of life for all Grenadians.

The NDC-NY Chapter particularly recognizes the important and timely initiatives of the youth movement, at a time when youth unemployment is at an alarmingly high rate in the country and while the NNP government is unwilling to meaningfully tackle this and other critical needs of the young people of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique.

We assure you that the NDC-NY Chapter will spare no effort in supporting your goals and fundamental interests in the struggle to build a strong, vibrant youth movement, which can help to shape our political direction for the good of all in Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique.

Let all of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique know about the NDC’s Five Pillar Plan for the sustainable development of our tri-island state, and that it is a feasible one which encompasses productive projects in: i) agriculture and agribusiness; ii) tourism and hospitality services; iii) educational and medical services; iv) information and communications technology (ICT) services; and v) the tapping of the documented potential in fossil and alternative energy development.

Never give up in your efforts to forge a brighter future out of the darkness of the present period. Think deeply; have solid workable plans and strategies which make use of all of the strengths of your team members; and reach out with a sharing spirit to all in your various communities with a message of hope and new vision of a brighter future.
