St. George’s, April 4, 2012 – The executive of the National Democratic Congress joins with the Women’s Arm of the party in extending solidarity and support in the family challenges being experienced by Sisters Glynis Roberts and Ingrid Rush.
“These are two stalwart Sisters who have given immense service to the NDC and they remain in our prayers,’’ said an official of the Women’s Arm.
Both Mrs. Rush, President of the NDC Women’s Arm, and Mrs. Roberts – MP for St. George South and Minister of Labour – are caring for critically ill family members.
“Our party is much better and stronger for Sisters like Ingrid Rush and Glynis Roberts, and we must hold them up and support them in what is clearly a most difficult time,’’ NDC General Secretary Peter David said after visiting the Rush family in St. Andrew on Tuesday, April 3.
Public Relations Officer Arley Gill, who also visited the family, said Mrs. Rush is coping with the situation with “strength and dignity.’’
As a party, he said, “NDC members can do their bit in strengthening Sister Ingrid and Sister Glynis by acts such as a phone call, visit or an e-mail.’’
