The man wanted in connection with the investigations surrounding the death of 25 year old Devon Chitan of Moyah, St. Andrew is now in police custody.

Victor Vesprey also known as ‘Small’ was apprehended sometime after 4pm yesterday in Belmont Carriacou.

Police say a manhunt was mounted for the 32 year old fisherman after he reportedly confessed to killing a man.

An autopsy will be performed on the body of Chitan on Friday  to determine the actual of death.

Chitan’s partially decomposed body was recovered from the Point Systan beach, L’Esterre, Carriacou at about 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
