Batting first Indian A was routed for 133 with CK Holder 4 for 57 in 13 overs while Lewis finished with 4 for 35 in 11.1 overs. The West Indies A responded strongly with 383 all out with Sunil Ambris making a brilliant 128.
The Indian A in their second turn at the wicket responded with a huge total of 609 for 6 declared. Opener PP Shaw made 188 in a brilliant show of batting. When stump was drawn West Indies A was 245 for 7 with Blackwood scoring 61.
