The Royal Grenada Police Force confirms a shooting incident in the Hope Vale area of St. George’s.
 
 The incident occurred this morning, March 11th 2009, at around 10.20 during an operation conducted by members of the Drug Squad of the R.G.P.F.
 
 While executing a warrant to conduct a search of his premises, Augustine Antoine violently resisted the action of the Officers, and received a bullet wound to the waist.
 
 Antoine was then taken to the General Hospital for treatment where he remains in a stable condition.
 
 Members of the Drug Squad and the Criminal Investigation Department are presently conducting and investigation into the incident.
