Police Officer Apprehended in Grenada

A police officer, apprehended while clandestinely filming and recording a meeting of top officials of the National Democratic Congress at the party’s headquarters in St. George’s, said his assignment was at the order of a senior member of the Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF).

Kelon Noel caught the attention of NDC members when they noticed a red flash emanating from an abandoned building adjacent to the NDC office on Lucas Street.

A few NDC officials moved swiftly across into the nearby building, capturing Noel.  Another person, said to be wearing a white T-shirt, escaped.

Under cross-examination, Noel said he was a police officer.  His identification card, which was handed over, confirmed that he was a member of the RGPF.  Noel identified the senior RGPF officer who gave him his assignment as Neil McQueen.

He eventually left the scene of the incident in the company of Inspector Raymond “Beast” Matthew.
