NDC wishes former PM Manning “speedy recovery’’

St. George’s, January 26, 2012 – The National Democratic Congress has joined Trinidadians who are praying for a speedy recovery to good health for the nation’s former Prime Minister, Patrick Manning.

Mr. Manning, former leader of the now opposition People’s National Movement (PNM), was hospitalized earlier this week with a mild stroke.

“As Prime Minister, right up to his last day in office, he was a dear friend of the government and people of Grenada. All of us in the National Democratic Congress greatly admired his generosity to his Caribbean neighbours, and his quest to foster greater Caribbean integration. We wish him well,’’ said Senator Arley Gill, NDC Public Relations Officer.

General Secretary Peter David added that the NDC desires nothing more than a “full and quick recovery’’ for Mr. Manning.

“We are keeping former Prime Minister Manning and his family in our prayer,’’ said Mr. David.
