The National Democratic Congress Support Group in New York on Friday April 8 elected a new executive to manage its affairs for the next twelve months.

The group’s new Chairman is Montgomery Alexander, Deputy chair – Denise Roberts, Secretary – Merrylon Campbell; Treasurer – Estella Charles, assistant Secretary/Treasurer – Mrs. Gail Bullen- Bourne. Bernard Bourne is the Public Relations Officer and he is assisted by Theodore Gordon.

Before the election Junior Coy was the chairman of the group. As a political organization the NDC has a number of support groups in various parts of the Diaspora whose main objectives are to raise funds for the party and build it images among overseas nationals.

Apart from New York some of the locations of groups include Toronto, Montreal and London. During the party recent General Council which is the governing body of the NDC a message from NDC Toronto was delivered by the group’s visiting Chairman Paul George; and a statement from the Montreal Support Group that was read by Vincent Roberts, Public Relations Officer of the Party.
