NDC Constituencies Branches Hold Activities

St. George’s, October 19, 2011 – The ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) is continuing a series of activities to strengthen the various organs of the party that was elected to office in July 2008.

Among recent activities were the annual fundraising dinner and dance of the party and the election of a new ten-member executive of the Carriacou Constituency Branch of the NDC.

Bob Adams was elected to head the Constituency Branch at a meeting that was attended by NDC Chairman Kenrick Fullerton and General Secretary, Peter David.

Others serving on the Constituency Branch with Adams are his Deputy Chairman, Alpheus Adams ; Secretary Andy Matherson; Assistant Secretary Asha Douglas; Treasurer Lynda Mathurine; Assistant Treasurer Ronald Gittens; Public Relations Officer Michael Caesar; and Floor Members Clarence Lewis, Wallace Mc Leod and Donester Wilson.

Upcoming events of the NDC include a Fun Day organized by the party’s St. Andrew’s North East Constituency Branch. It will be held from 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 25, at the Pearls Playing Field.

One of the highlights of the Fun Day is a cricket competition involving the four constituencies in St. Andrew, as well as St. Patrick East that is represented in parliament by NDC Leader and Grenada’s Prime Minister, Hon. Tillman Thomas.

Other activities will include table games, small-goal football and track races. Eats and drinks will also be on sale.
