St. George’s, December 23, 2009 – The National Democratic Congress (NDC), its members and the executive headed by Party Leader Hon. Tillman Thomas, would like to congratulate Hon. Roosevelt Skerrit on being re-elected for another term as Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica.
 
 In the hotly contested general election, the Dominican people overwhelmingly returned Mr. Skerrit to the helm as government leader. We commend all the parties on a contest that was well-fought and are now confident that all sides will search for opportunities to work together not only for the further development of Dominica, but also for greater advancement and integration in the wider Caribbean region.
 
 NDC Leader and Prime Minister, Hon. Tillman Thomas, looks forward to meeting Mr. Skerrit at the next regional forum to continue working in the interest of all the peoples of the Caribbean.
