NAWASA Opens New Water Quality Laboratory

The National Water & Sewerage Authority (NAWASA) will officially open its New Water Quality Laboratory located on Observatory Road in St. George, on Tuesday May 19, 2009 at 10am.

The construction of this facility which was funded by the Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID)-Spain, will provide increased capacity for an expanded and robust sampling program island-wide, while ensuring that the Authority’s product is of continued quality assurance standards.

The Opening will be attended by a the Spanish Ambassador for Grenada, Fernando de la Serna; Ángel Moreno, General Coordinator for the Spanish Cooperation in the Caribbean Region and the Minister of Works Hon. Joseph Gilbert who will officially open the facility, just to name a few.

A tour of the facility will be given immediately following the ribbon cutting.
