The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is reporting that the crew of the MV Winnifred is safe.

The Grenadian-registered cargo boat which left Trinidad for Grenada on Thursday February 28, 2008, was reported to have been missing.

Reports reaching the Ministry reveal that the vessel with the three-man crew was spotted docked on the Venezuelan Island of Isla De Los Testigos on Friday February 29, 2008.

The Grenada Mission in Caracas, Venezuela, has contacted the Venezuelan Coast Guard and efforts are being made to have the crew and vessel return to Grenada as soon as possible.
