MINISTRY OF WORKS OPEN’S OUTREACH OFFICES

St Georges: The Ministry of Works has opened a number of outreach offices in various parishes where Grenadians can apply for various areas of work which falls under the ministry.

The offices opened today, Tuesday November 11, 2008 at  the Sandino Block Plant (First building on the left of Entrance to Lanse Aux Pines) in St. George, the IDC Building, Sauteurs, St. Patrick, La Sagesse Playing Field Pavilion in St. David and at the St Mark’s Playing Field Pavillion.                  

Outreach offices in St John’s, St Andrew’s and Carriacou will be opened at a later date due to ongoing work on building’s which will house the operation. Persons interested in participating in the ongoing Debushing Programme can register at the Government of Grenada Outreach Offices to be part of the selection process. 

“We will also be using these offices to build a database of persons who may be seeking employment on the road projects but who are qualified for other forms of training or even scholarships,” said of Works, Physical Development, Public Utilities and the Environment on, Hon. Joseph Gilbert.

The Ministry plans to offer other services at these offices in the future. Minister Gilbert says the public will be kept informed as the services are expanded..
