November 26th, 2013 – Made In Grenada, the entertainment and cultural Company hosted its first event in 2002 – the Made In Grenada 40 Local Artistes Showcase. Made In Grenada has since being involved in a number of initiatives with the primary concern of promoting, showcasing and highlighting the talents of Grenadians while providing a platform for the presentation of those talents.
Among the events and activities under the Made In Grenada brand in recent years have been:
- The Made In Grenada Junior Calypso Workshops
- The Made In Grenada Celebrity Football Match
- The Made In Grenada Person of the Month
- The Made in Grenada Person of the Year
- Publication of Made In Grenada entertainment news articles and other cultural related articles
- Artistes Management
- Production of Local Music (including our most recent project – a Christmas song performed by the Made In Grenada Celebrities)
- Consultancy on the Local Cultural and Entertainment Industries
- Sponsorship of the Made In Grenada Rimrockers in the St. John Basketball Tournament
Recently we have and continue to receive inquiries about a “Made In Grenada” Expo under the auspices of the Ministry of Economic Development, Planning, Trade and Cooperatives.
For the avoidance of doubt and the preservation of our Brand, we would like to unequivocally dissociate Made In Grenada – the established, identifiable and proven cultural and entertainment Brand – with the Expo hosted by the Ministry of Economic, Development, Planning, Trade and Cooperatives.
