Lewis Hamilton Wants Grenada Government to pay up

A report surfacing in this week’s Grenada today Newspaper says formula 1 race car driver, Lewis Hamilton, is seeking 40.7million dollars from the Grenada government.

This it says stems from the Tillman Thomas-led administration acquiring the 20 acres of land, which is occupied by the Grenada Grand Beach resort.

The lands were said to have been handed over to Hamilton and his Time Burke Holdings (Grenada) Limited, in an arrangement reached with the NNP Government at the time.

On this matter of acquisition, lawyers representing Time Burke holdings have since written to the Prime Minister.

In its letter, the company is threatening to take such steps that are necessary to secure their rights, contractual and otherwise to proper compensation for the acquisition Of that interest by the Grenada Government.
