December 19, 2013 – A promise that was made over two months ago was fulfilled on the night of Tuesday December 17th, 2013, when former Test Wicketkeeper/Batsman Junior Murray handed over much-needed cricket gear to the Clozier Development Committee.
The small tightly-knit Community fields two cricket teams that play in competitions in St. John and St. Andrew.
The package that was handed over included an equipment bag, bats, gloves, batting and wicket-keeping pads and helmets.
At the presentation Junior was thanked by the Chairman of the Clozier Development Committee, Mr. Peter James, who used the occasion to provide a brief history lesson on the accomplishments of Junior to the more youthful members of the Community.
The donation of the cricket gear is a continuation of a renewed plethora of activity under the Junior Murray brand in partnership with Made In Grenada.
Other activities include the Junior Murray Cricket Academy (which is ongoing), the Junior Murray Celebrity Cricket match (February 09th, 2014) and the Junior Murray Fun Day (January 17th, 2014).
