HONORARY CONSUL WHARWOOD EMBARKS ON PROMOTION CAMPAIGN FOR GRENADA

MONTREAL, Canada, December 3, 2009 – Grenada’s Honorary Consul in Montreal, Mr. Leonard Wharwood has embarked on a media blitz in promoting Grenada as the best vacation destination in the Caribbean, and to assure investors that Grenada is open to investments from abroad.

On Saturday, Mr. Wharwood was interviewed at the Concordia University Community Radio Station, CJLO 1690 AM.

“It is my intent to foster a closer relationship between Grenadians in Montreal and the governing administration in Grenada,” he told listeners.

“All Grenadians in the Diaspora wish to assist in the growth of our beloved Spice Isle and this office can be the conduit to make it a reality,” said Mr.Wharwood, who was recently appointed the island’s Honorary Consul in Montreal.

Radio host, Rafael Mac Kenzie, popularly known as 610, congratulated Mr. Wharwood on his appointment and wished him well during his tenure as Honorary Consul.

Mr. Wharwood was accompanied by Mr. Theodore Blaize, who arranged the interview and provided assistance.
