A gypsy cab driver was killed in a hit-and-run after an angry female passenger shoved him out of his car in Queens Tuesday night, cops and witnesses said.
Winston Frank, AKA Gaze 56, of New Hampshire in Grenada died at Jamaica Hospital in Queen New York at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, two hours after he was pushed from the white Lincoln Town Car and dragged along 76th St. in Woodhaven as he clung to a seat belt. He was then struck by a second vehicle, which sped off, cops said.
Frank’s grieving wife, Juliet Hunte, 52, said her husband would use her vehicle to pick up fares.
“He picked me up at work and dropped me off at home. He left to get some lottery tickets and that’s the last I heard from him,” she said.
Cops found the Lincoln abandoned on 87th St. near 101st Ave., where the passenger hopped out and ran off.
Cops were seeking her and the hit-and-run driver.
The deadly incident began with an argument. Frank was bickering with the woman, who was sitting in the front passenger seat, when she started to hit him and pushed him out.
With Frank holding onto the seat belt, the Lincoln swerved out of control and hit four parked cars, witnesses said. The woman slid over, grabbed the steering wheel and drove off.
A black car driving behind the Lincoln plowed into Frank, witnesses said.
Hunte, who lived with her husband in Brooklyn New York, said Frank was an immigrant from Grenada and the father of two grown daughters
