St. George’s, January 15, 2012 – An effort is currently underway to locate relatives of a Grenadian woman who died recently in New York.
“The woman, who is believed to be in her 40s, is Debra Charles and she lived on Lennox Road near Rogers Avenue,’’ said Grenada’s Consul General to New York, Derrick James. “She died on January 6 and is now at the morgue at King’s County Hospital in Brooklyn. But, so far, no one has come forward to bury her.’’
It is still unknown where in Grenada Charles was born and grew up, or which school she attended.
Consul James is appealing to anyone – relatives or friends – who may know the late Debra Charles to contact him at 473-406-1882, 212-518-7057 or 212-599-0301. You can also e-mail dcjames4@yahoo.com
