– Eric Mitchell from Grenada and Ketty Kydd from St. Vincent beat thousands of contestants in the Digicel US$100,000 Bowl to win all-expenses paid trip to Barbados
Friday, March 27 – Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados: Digicel, proud sponsors of West Indies cricket, today announced the winners of an all-expenses paid trip to the 4th Digicel ODI in Barbados, as part of the Digicel US$100,000 Bowl competition.
The lucky winners, who beat thousands of entrants to the competition, will fly to Barbados, along with a friend or family member, on Saturday, March 28th. They will stay in the Hilton Hotel with all expenses paid. The winners also get two tickets each to the 4th Digicel ODI where, during the lunch break, they will have two chances to bowl the middle stump at the Kensington Oval. The person who successfully bowls the middle stump will win a massive US$100,000 prize, courtesy of Digicel.
Speaking about the upcoming trip, Eric Mitchell from Grenada said: “I am quietly confident about my chances at the match on Sunday as I’ve been practicing since I discovered I was a finalist. I’m thankful to all those who voted for me. I’m really looking forward to, not only winning the US$100,000, but to seeing my West Indies boys in action.”
Vincentian, Ketty Kydd, also spoke of her joy at winning the trip: “I felt very excited when I heard I got a chance to win $100,000 and I’m really looking forward to the trip to Barbados.”
The Digicel US$100,000 Bowl is one of many fun and interactive competitions designed by Digicel to bring cricket fans closer to the sport and to encourage as many people as possible to turn out and support the West Indies in the remaining Digicel ODIs taking place in Barbados and St. Lucia.
