Brooklyn, NY October 11, 2008:  The Grenada New York Adventist Organization (GNYAO)  celebrated  it’s 25th anniversary with a grand convention at the Wingate High School Auditorium today.

In front of a packed auditorium the outgoing president Mr. James Hairy handed the torch to newly elected president Mr. Crafton Calliste and his new officers.  Mr. Hairy has served the organization for a total of 12 years.

Grenada’s Council General Mr. Derrick James delivered a short speech congratulating the organization on it’s achievements.  Also on hand were several Grenadians from Canada, Maryland and Georgia.   

Tributes were paid to past presidents and officers who has since passed on for their contributions.

The GNYAO was the first of many Caribbean Adventist organizations formed with the Jamaica Association (JAAA) celebrated their 10th anniversary last month..
