St. George, January 1, 2012 — Grenada police have charged 3 additional police officers with manslaughter in the death of 39 year old Grenadian born and Canadian resident  Oscar Bartholomew.

Detectives of the CID on New Years day arrested and charged Police Constables Edward Gibson, Shaun Ganness and Ruddy Felix attached to St. David Police Station with manslaughter of Bartholomew, this brings the number of officers charged to five.

All five police officers are expected to  appear before the St. George’s #1 Magistrate Court on Tuesday 3rd January 2012 at 9:00 a.m.

So no senior officers has been charged with any crime.  Investigations are continuing in this matter.
