BRUSSELS, Belgium, February 9, 2010 – Grenada, through Ambassador Stephen Fletcher in Brussels, Belgium, has assumed the Chairmanship of the ACP Investment and Private Sector Committee.
The Committee is responsible for supervising, monitoring, and developing broad policy frameworks of the private sector institutions under the ACP-EU Cotonou Framework agreements.
These agreements include the Centre for the Development of Enterprise; the Water and Energy Facilities; Microfinance Facility and all other instruments that provide funding from the EU to ACP Private sector states.
“This puts us (Grenada and the Caribbean) in a position to exert influence on the policy directions, programmes and initiatives for those institutions,” said Ambassador Fletcher.
