St. George’s – Several Canadian newspapers and magazines will in the coming months be highlighting Grenada in a manner that showcases various spice-related angles about it. This is expected in the aftermath of the visit of a seven-member group of Canadian travel writers who are visiting Grenada from May 24 – 28, 2008 specifically to research and write stories about Grenada’s spices.
Participants come from Dreamscapes Magazine, the Hamilton Spectator, Canadian Traveler, Caribbean Travel and life, National Geographic, Whitesand Magazine, and St. Catherine’s Standard. Some of Grenada’s more accomplished spice attractions are included in a spice-studded itinerary that ensures enough information on Grenada’s spices is garnered by the writers.
In addition to these Canadian writers, Grenada is also hosting from May 24 – 27, a 12-member Gulliver’s group of teachers and sports promoters from British schools and institutions. They will enjoy two days examining accommodation choices best suited to host sports teams and groups. They would also tour Grenada to have close-up perspectives of Grenada’s sporting facilities so that they can be well informed when making decisions regarding sports tours to the island.
The Grenada Board of Tourism is pleased that the destination is in line for the quality of publicity that will arise as a result of the presence of these two groups..
