ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA, January 5, 2016 : The Government of Grenada has given its strongest assurance yet that locals and visitors will continue to enjoy the benefits of Camerhogne Park.

The assurance aimed at allaying public concerns, was made during the first cabinet briefing for 2016 by Sen. Winston Garraway, Minister of State in the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Religious Affairs.

He stressed that before anything is done with Camerhogne Park, there must be an upgrade at a new location on Grand Anse beach for the benefit of people.

A major hotel project of more than 120 million US dollars and over 400 rooms is earmarked for the area.

Developers are on the final leg of getting project documents in place.

Senator Garraway says even while this is being planned, they will never deny people access to the park or Grand Anse Beach.
