St. George’s, April 12, 2011 (GIS) – Teams from the Ministry of Works, including Minister Joseph Gilbert, are continuing to clear debris from the streets of St. Mark and St. John which have been affected by persistent overnight showers.

No casualties have been reported in the deluge that caused a river to overflow, mudslides and damage to property.

Government officials, as well as representatives of the National Disaster Management Agency, have responded with immediacy to the situation. They are expected to provide detailed information during the course of the day.
