GAA joins Athletics Family in Mourning Death of Neville “Teddy” McCook

ST GEORGE’S, Grenada, February 12, 2013 – It is with great sadness that the Grenada Athletics Association (GAA) learnt of the death of long-time sports administrator Neville “Teddy” McCook of Jamaica. He died on Monday February 11, 2013 at the age of 73.

Teddy has been a Caribbean voice in global track and field and his administrative skills will be greatly missed. He was also fond of our island which he visited numerous times.

“The region has lost a dedicated servant not only to athletics but to sports in general,” said President of the GAA, Charles George.

“Teddy was always ready to lend assistance and the GAA and other regional federations benefitted from his expert advice.”

The GAA offers its sincere condolences to his wife Sonia, children and the track and field fraternity in Jamaica.
