St. George’s, Grenada. On Sunday 15th March, staff of CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank and members of the Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF) partnered once again to renew a number of road and directional signs along Melville Street in the capital, St. George’s.
The CIBC FirstCaribbean team first worked alongside the RGPF on this maintenance and renewal project in September of 2014, to repaint a selection of important road markings that had faded over a period of time.
The repainting of pedestrian crossings, parking zones, directional and other road surface signs between Sendall Tunnel and the St. George’s bus terminal, were included in the day’s activities.
Nigel Ollivierre, CIBC FirstCaribbean’s Country Manager for Grenada, thanked the Royal Grenada Police Force for their enthusiasm and involvement in the project.
“Our banking institution is located at the heart of St. George’s. We firmly believe that in undertaking this project we are making the roads safer for the many students, business men and women, as well as visitors that increasingly frequent our beautiful town. We are pleased to be involved in this initiative, which will impact many lives daily,” he said.
