St. George’s, December 20, 2010 – Scores of children, accompanied by their parents, were treated at three Christmas parties last weekend in the Town of St. George.
At each party, the children received food, drinks and toys and met with Hon. Peter David, Member of Parliament for the Town of St. George.
The MP, who is also Minister of Tourism, wished all a safe an enjoyable Christmas.
“I also want to wish each and everyone of you a prosperous New Year and may all your dreams come true in 2011,’’ Mr. David said.
MP David has thanked the donors, local and overseas-based, who contributed to the success of the parties, which began on Saturday with one on the Carenage Sports Complex.
Two other parties – one on Melville Street and the other in River Road – were held on Sunday.
“I also want to thank the many volunteers who assisted in the effort, including members of the Town of St. George Constituency Group, the River Road/Darbeau Development Organisation, the Carenage Organisation for Recreation and Entertainment, Coyaba New Dimensions and Republic Bank Angel Harps,’’ Mr. David said.
MP David said he is looking forward to the continued support of his constituents in 2011 as he attempts to embark on projects to develop and uplift the various communities that comprise the Town of St. George.
