Hon. Emmalin Pierre visited the St. Giles Anglican School and presented the staff with several boxes of chocolates for distribution among the students.

During the last academic year Hon. Emmalin Pierre visited the school and promised one class that they will receive a gift of chocolates however on further reflection the MP decided to provide chocolates for the entire student population at the institution.

The students were very excited to receive a visit and chocolates from the MP. The staff and students also took the opportunity to express condolences to the MP on the recent passing of her brother and to thank her for her regular visits and contributions to the St. Giles Anglican School.

It is important to note the Grenada recently celebrated the Grenada Chocolate Festival which seeks to celebrate and promote Grenada’s production and consumption of cocoa, chocolates and cocoa and chocolate-based products.

Further, the 2014 Hon. Emmalin Pierre Literary competition will focus on Cocoa and Chocolate. St. Giles Anglican School is the defending champions, having won the 2013 competition.
