Four British nationals swam to safety after the yacht in which they were traveling capsized today. The four persons, two men and two women, left the St. David Marina at about 08:30 a.m. hoping to travel to Carriacou but aborted their plans owing to rough seas.
The couples were on their way back to the Marina when two waves hit their yacht side on and threw them over board.
The yachties swam to the La Sagesse Bay, St. David, following which they were taken to the General Hospital as a precautionary measure. They have since been discharged.
Their yacht, Sailing Yacht “Pampero”, reportedly went adrift.
