Tuesday 22nd March 2011: A welcome activity at the NNP Convention on Sunday was the voluntary testing of participant’s blood sugar level and blood pressure. The activity spearheaded by Retired Nurse and Social Worker Mrs. Ann Hopkin ably assisted by several others, tested several hundred individuals and offered counseling to those found to be exhibiting disturbing results.

Many participants were glad of the opportunity to obtain the tests and were thankful to all those involved. The testing is in keeping with the healthy living message of the New National Party whose Political Leader Dr. Keith Mitchell is a known advocate of exercise and proper diet.

The New National Party is also calling on all individuals or organizations with diabetic testing strips and other associated accessories to please donate them to the party’s welfare arm so that more tests can be carried out.
