St George’s, Grenada – May 28,2008 – Members of the Financial Intelligence Unit have detained the leader of the Grenada United Labor Party Mr. Reynold Benjamin. Mr. Benjamin who is an attorney at law was detained around 8.30 o’clock this morning. He is the second person to be detained for their involvement in the failed Capital Bank.
Two weeks ago the CEO of the bank Mr. Fenton Debourge was detained and later arrested and charged. This development comes against the background of continued investigations by the Financial Intelligence Unit into the operations of Capital Bank International Limited – In ReceivershipThe Financial Intelligence Unit is continuing its investigations.Will it be the GG next?.
