Batsmen dominated the first day of the first round matches in the Windward Islands two day Cricket Tournament in St. Lucia.

At the Mindoo Phillip Park, Dominica batting first was all out for 276 in 57.2 overs.  Liam Sebastien made an impressive 125 and Kevin James 37.  For Grenada Dennis George finished with 5 wickets for 51 runs and Josh Thomas 2 for 53.  At the close of play Grenada replied with 62 for 1. Devon Smith is not out on 37 and Keone George on 20.

At the Beausejour Cricket Ground,  St. Vincent ended the first day in a strong position on 379 for 7.  Donwell Hector 97, Romel Currency 84, Miles Bascombe and Keron Cotty 57.  Garey Mathurin took 3 wickets for 82 and Larry Edwards 2 for 69.

Both matches both matches will conclude today with the second round matches starting on Saturday.
