ST. GEORGE, GRENADA, MARCH 29, 2020 – The Ministry of Education, Human Resource Development, Religious Affairs and Information, on Wednesday March 25, 2020, launched its long awaited MSTAR Learning Support Platform (MSTAR-LSP).
This LSP was developed by the company Multi-domain Global Relationship Management, (MGRM) and designed to bring virtual learning to the fingertips of every student of compulsory school age. It will soon become the Ministry’s main medium for the dissemination of educational materials and delivery of other ICT-enabled services.
MSTAR-LSP comes with a number of excellent resources including syllabuses and selfcorrecting multiple choice papers for most CSEC subjects, games and links to many reputable educational websites with content for students of all ages; Pre-primary through to Secondary. Teachers and students are encouraged to make full use of this facility.
Login credentials are being made available to teachers and students in batches. Teachers will receive all the support necessary to create their own pool of resources and to engage their students.
By way of corporate assistance, Digicel Grenada Limited has reached out in support of this new e-learning drive and has committed to zero-rating MSTAR-LSP and five e-learning sites. Given the prevailing climate, the company has also committed to providing 15 GB of data to teachers and students (for one month, in the first instance), and has delivered over 180 devices (smart phones and portable WI-FI packs) to the government of Grenada, towards this initiative.
This Ministry is grateful for the kind cooperation of all stakeholders and urges everyone to follow all Ministry of Health’s guidelines, for safeguarding health at this time.
