St. George’s, Grenada – November 20, 2008: – Students from both the primary and secondary schools across the island have been putting their skills to the test and enhancing their financial knowledge in the process.
They participated in the Eastern Caribbean Central Banks Financial Literacy Schools Artwork Contest. The contest was held as part of Financial Literacy Month which was observed in October. The students submitted original works of art to reflect the theme “Manage Your Money…Live Your Dreams”.
Preliminary judging was done last Friday at the Ministry of Education to choose pieces for final judging on the regional level. The regional judging will be done in four categories two at the primary and two at the secondary level.
One of the schools entering the competition was Alpha Junior School. They had the most entries in the preliminary leg of the competition. The competition is a project of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank and the Government of Grenada.
