Devon Thomas to replace Denesh Ramdin

Basseterre, St Kitts — The Selection Committee of the West Indies Cricket Board today announced the 13-man squad for the fourth and fifth Digicel One-Day Internationals against New Zealand. Wicket-keeper Devon Thomas has been called up to replace Denesh Ramdin, who is getting married.

Thomas, 22, is a graduate of the Sagicor High Performance Centre. He has so far played nine One-Day Internationals. The livewire keeper was in good form in the recent three-match Digicel ‘Test’ Series for West Indies A against India A. He made two half-centuries and held 12 catches.

The fourth and fifth Digicel ODIs will be played at Warner Park, St Kitts on Saturday, July 14 and Monday, July 16. West Indies lead the five-match Digicel Series 2-1 with two matches left.
